Manzanillo is a small oceanside village near Cartagena. Music was pumping out hot beats on the main street, the whole time I was there; and there was dancing. It was here that I learned to dance Vallenato.

  • Por supuesto! Colombianos tiene ritmo mas mejor, pero, ahora bailo mucho mejor, casi como un Colombiano, gracias a mis amigos Colombianos.

  • Spacemic, thank you for posting this video. What brought you to Manzanillo?

  • I was visiting a friend who lives in Cartagena and shooting some video for a music/art project with him. He and his wife brought me to Manzanillo. Such a beautiful little village beside the sea. Wonderful people, great music (couldn't find a quiet place in the whole village that afternoon) and colorful! That was me dancing a little salsa in the streets at the end. ...en la caille con mi nueva amiga. La genta hermosa!

  • Hi Daniella! I watched a few of your videos; couldn't comment because you don't allow comments. You have a sweet voice. You speak Spanish? or just reciting lyrics? your pronunciation is very good. I loved the video with your family; your Mom and your GrandMom. It's a beautiful thing to be able to connect with people like this. You allow the public to come into your kitchen and share some time. Beautiful.

  • This is not Cuba is Colombia!

Blacks in Cuba are in much better condition that blacks in Colombia.

After Brazil, Colombia is the country with more black population in Latin America, however, Blacks in Colombia have lived through years of neglect. Black people rank higher in unemployment, illiteracy, infant mortality and fatalities from otherwise curable diseases and now they're been dispossessed from their land by right militant groups.

  • These are the people that the embargo hurts, the poor black people of Cuba! Not Castro!
