  • i love seein how damn good of a player derek was so young. such feel and phrasing, takes most decades of playing to get that comfortable. definitely has his own style now but i miss him doing more of the duane thing, either way hes one of the best around. Yonrico doin his thing on the drums i believe, hell yes!

  • acidrain30005 is tottaly right. DAMN!!!

I saw this whole concert in Sao Paulo when it aired on TV in Brazil. I thought I would never see Derek's Sleepwalk again! Thanks a zillion for posting ethandeitrich1!

  • I was there in the audience in 1995. One of the most memorable blues shows I ever attended to. May Derek gives give us amazing music for years and years to come

  • I like the Statesboro Blues,-Amazing Grace lead in :) I remember seeing Derek when he was very young around Atlanta :)

  • I saw him play at Spirits in Forest City (Near Altamonte Springs, FL around the same time. This was the solo that dropped my jaw and made me a believer! This kid isn't just mimicking what he learned from hanging around with the Allman Bros, he really could shred and felt every note! Like my friend from Brazil, I never thought I'd see/hear this magic ever again! Thanks for the post!

  • I used to go see Derek play (with band) in a bar in Tampa in the early 90's (he was 15 years old then) $3 cover, crowed of about 50-100 people. Those were the days my friend!

  • Thanx that was the business.

  • The slide looks huge on his finger (14 yrs. ago, of course), but he is definitely tearing it up!

  • Superbe!!

  • mindblowing

how is the last song called?
