  • Where in the Constitution say I can have a driver's license? Where in the Constitution say we can have air traffic controllers? Where in the constitution does it say that food production ought to occur under certain sanitary conditions? What a crackpot this woman is. And... global currency? Who's even talking about that? I'm surprised she's willing to remove her tinfoil hat for TV interviews...

  • It depends what the motive is.

If it's just bankers trying to make money or have more control over economics then no.

But if it was more humanitarian goal, that would lead to a more peaceful world then yes.

But with China's human rights record and Russia's roll back of rights, and the U.S. creationist movement I must conclude that it's only a move for more power more money politics as usual.

One day we may have that kind of peace but with jokers like Bachmann it wont be this generation.

  • The concept for a global currency is primarly for trading purposes. The problem is taht the American economy is no longer as strong as it once was and quite frankly, some people do not think it will again be as strong again. I happen to disagree, but I think the world's politicians are not planning to be surprised by a fallout of the American economy as happened last year. This has happened because of teh greed of the business sector in the USA and the bonuses issue in 2009 is not haertning.

  • Amen to that. I am no fan of Bush, anyone who created big government on the scale he did is no conservative on any level. All the liberals that hated Bush and now praise Obama are oblivious to the fact that Obama will do no more than continue to take us down the exact same road Bush has had us on over the last 8 years. He has merely picked up where Bush left off as has every president since Nixon and it is a socialist agenda, a one world socialist agenda at that.

  • Karl Marx considered himself to be a "leftist" as do historians. The Communists who revolted and gave birth to the Communist revolution in Russia in 1917 are termed "leftist" by most historians as well as themselves. Hitler, a socialist was refered to as a "leftist" as he rose to power by those who opposed him. Leftist, Socialism, Communism and Liberalism are generally associated in history as "leftist" This is why many associate all of the above in the basic "leftist" catagory.

  • also you may want to reconsider that statement that NO one wants a global currency cause that makes YOU look stupid

  • a reserve currantcy would hurt the dollar even more

she does understand what world reserve currantcy means

    Its still a bad idea

  • Eliminate most of the world's oil supply and murder millions of people? Yeah, brilliant idea.

You guys aren't real "long term" thinkers, are you?

  • Let's get one thing straight. I'm a registered Independant which means I could care less about either party!!! Both have spent entirely too much!!! But Obama, his policies, and his radical spending are driving this country further into debt that our grandkids will have to pay for!!! But for the tax cheat, and Obama's bed buddy Gietner to say that he would condier moving to a global currency tells me that the agenda is of a socialistic nature!

  • You are the one trying to link to two words, not me. I just call it like I see it. Besides, people from the left have thrown around the words "hate speech" as a synonym for a Republican who has a differing opinion than themselves. So it could be said both ways.

The Rep.'s have failed miserably and yes they are now out of power, but the Dem.'s aren't making it any better. Obama in his time as Pres. has spent more money than any Pres. in history!!!
