@ledneck i agree you must hold it in your hand before it will react the way the "actor" showed on the video. it will react while placed flat but it's much more sensitive when you hold it in your hand.

Same problem with HTC Touch Pro 2.

the tip of ur finger isnt supposed to activate it... you need to alter ur settings in order to do that... the storm is supposed to have about 3/4 of the point on ur finger to activate the highlighting function. try using ur thumb like ur supposed to.

i use mine on its back all the time with no changes in performance

No, Blackberry screen is touch sensitive. The click is only for when you want to select something. The keys should recognize him touching them, but do not with the shield on it.

when the phone is on a flat surface it does not respond very well i just tested it

hi sophiebbr, i have a storm and there is a stock screen protector on it already you may have but the invisbleshield over that one causing it not to be able to pick up the touching.
-
Dont you have to click it?

I actually saw a storm acting like this at the Verizon store today, they had two on display, the other was completely fine, I have an invisible shield on my storm 9530.. works perfect on stock sensitivity settings.
A Youtuber called 'Mbarhoumeh' posted a 'nasty' comment which I removed as life is too short to deal with unsavouries like 'Mbarhoumeh'. This person hinks that if you sit your phone flat on it's back, then the touch screen doesn't work. Anyone who has a BB Storm and knows their sweatshirt from their bum hole knows that the touch screen works in any orientation.
Take your head from out your arse Mbarhoumeh and make your comments elsewhere.

Apologies for #tapping' the screen. It was probably out of frustration from endless presses of the screen not working.
Yes, I tried every possible sensitivity setting. The videos were taken on maximum sensitivity (slightly worse on the lowest sensitivity setting, but not much.
