MEGADETH - Interview Mustaine & Pitrelli (2001 VH1 Friday Rock show)

I recorded this live on February 23rd 2001.
This is the Megadeth part of UK VH1 "Friday rock show" that day.

It is an interview hosted by Tommy Vance with Dave Mustaine & Al Pitrelli because they were promoting their new album "The world needs a hero"... they both were in a trip through Europe giving interviews and such to promote their new album.

They also aired 2 Megadeth videoclips: "Symphony of destruction - Gristle mix" & "Go to hell"
(I removed the videoclips, althought I left the beginning and the end of each one)

@GusStorms well it's also obvious that Tommy Vance treat Pitrelli very different than Mustaine... so I find it normal that Pitrelli feels in that uncomfortable way

unfortunately for Al Pitrelli, he was never really given much of a chance to prove himself in Megadeth because of his brief time in the band and then the whole "breakup" which happened shortly after. But you can believe me when i say that Al is an amazingly versatile musician, i just saw him 3 nights ago with Trans Siberian Orchestra and he is immaculate on stage. There is no doubt that he is a fully capable musician that can light the strings on fire.

@GusStorms Well I don't blame him. He was new to the band and it seems Vance is treating him like he's not good enough for Megadeth (I don't think he fit very well into that band myself).

Why compare guitarists? If Dave hired them then they obviously are worht something, yeah we all have our personal favourite and least favourite but it doesnt make any of them shit.

Al Pitrelli is a bad mother fucker...'The album 'The World Needs A hero" has the best leads.....awesome... the worst  guitar player in Megadeth was Glenn Drover but he kicks ass on 'Burnt Ice'
