I wouldn't think much math would be involved. You might use a bit in calculating work load and torque for pneumatics and servos... But it depends most on what level and role you want to get involved in. If you want to work in a big studio they have people that specialize on each task; sculptor, welder, programmer... etc. I have been programming and even if you want to create a 3d sim for ease of programming most of the heavy math is handled by the API (DirectX).

Dont take it personal,I didn't intend to insult.I saw engineer also.I just didn't type it in.I'm new to the site and wanted to see more animatronics.Didn't mean to step on toes.I read the advice and assumed that he might have one being built.

Did he forget his lines in take one?
The mouth is not expressive enough, does not look like he is creating the sounds he makes, e.g., "you"
should have the mouth pursed in an O shape.
