When I first saw Cop Rock, I thought it pretty weird, but oddly compelling. People blew raspberries, mostly I think because the title sounded embarrassingly bad -- compare "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". But a few years after, Cop Rock was canceled, viewers were raving about Miami Vice, which didn't look so very different to me. (Randy Newman was never uncool, either.) Bochco, thank you for not giving up and turning to selling cars or something else to make your living!

This guy was a crooked cop, right? That was why he was a target in prison.
Regardless of whether you buy the concept, this song is good. Good enough it stuck in my head for like, what, 20 years?
Also, what a great face on this guy. Only work that's been done on it is a right hook. Grrr!

Cop Rock was and still is terrible. This song is a good song. The video for this song is terrible, just like the series. It's too bad Cop Rock had to butcher some good music with its silly concept.

No, just way way way before its time. Do you like the High School Musical series? I hate them, mostly out of jealousy that the public was willing to accept them, but rejected Cop Rock so many years earlier.

That's what the other inmates thought. Three of them approached him the yard, to mess him up, but he showed them -- got one in a headlock and was prepared to break his neck if the others didn't back off. Nobody bothered him after that.

Worst television show in history BACK THEN. This was Steven Bochco work before he did NYPD Blue which won a lot of Emmys. Cop Rock should be on Broadway!
