Spadina/Queen intersection, Toronto, Canada.
Over 200 Riot Police stand at attention and wait for the crowd to peacefully finish singing the Canadian National Anthem, at which point they charge the crowd, beating people with metal and wooden rods. I took shelter in a restaurant to get this amazing footage.
Over 300 innocent people were arrested an hour later, 50 meters from where I was standing by the police that cornered them at an intersection.

The police were funnelling people from 6 different streets into this intersection, preventing those that wanted to leave, from doing so, only to arrest hundreds later.

Help spread the word about police brutality in this "democratic" country!!!!

  • @metalmonkeydoodle i wasn't protesting anything, what if i just went down to look at some ass? should i get the sh8t kicked out of me by some looser in uniform on a power trip from a broken home?

  • @dreip If you got in the way of the police, yes

  • @metalmonkeydoodle that's like saying any jew that got in the way of a nazi deserves to have been shot, or any palestinian that got in a way of an israeli , or any iraqi that got in the way of a us marine, or any afghany that got in the way of a canadian sodlier....they all deserved to die? i mean i can keep going with examples to show how wrong it is to support police/army that are obeying illegal orders

  • @dreip !) You didn't have the shit kicked out of you

    2) Quit perpetuating the stereotype of police, for when you do, you jsut perpetuate the stereotype of ignorant fools who have no clue what police, firefighters or paramedics actually do to keep your ass safe.

  • @Linussbugg 1) it was a hypothetical questions

    2) I'm perpetuating the stereotype of a phsychologicaly inferior human being placed in a position of superior authority, you should read up on what that usually leads to

  • Seriously, I didn't see anyone posing a threat in this video. THERE WERE NO RIOTERS THERE. So why bring up the black block or whatever they were called. Point is those people had a right to protest and they were doing no harm therefore the police had to right to violate those peoples' right to move ahead and voice their cause. THAT is the bottom line.

  • @metalmonkeydoodle your a fucking retard I hope the police beat you for no reason

  • @metalmonkeydoodle the police were fuckin everywhere. where would u NOT get in the way of the police?! maybe if u were inside of ur house 24/7 with no life u wouldnt be in the way but there are a million reasons why people are on the streets....its not illegal...especially not to sing..just cuz theres a large amount of people jeez..

  • Cuz out of the 20 people who actually are there to protest in peace there are 100 other that wanna destroy and hurt... my parents shop got destroy from a group of faggots last g20

  • @metalmonkeydoodle <---- Gov't Controlled skumbag..

  • @Linussbugg

    Lets get one thing straight.

A uniform and badge doesn't make you special. What you do that makes you special. There are police out there that are heros, and I respect when they use authority properly.

Conversely, some are just not good, and behave like it's a pissing contest. You could almost mistake them for the rival gang.

I respect police, but think far too many are compromised. My reasoning is we have too many police, so are drawing from a talentless pool.

  • @gtechie Awww, umadbro?

  • @Linussbugg fuck off.

  • @Linussbugg With power comes responsibility. If someone believes they have been brutalized by police it is very difficult to do anything about it. Toronto Police, especially, have gotten much nastier in their day to day dealings ever since G20.

And a lot of these videos, the police couldn't even be identified because no name tags or numbers.

If they`re in the right, they have nothing to fear and riot police shall thrive. But their actions show that they have something to hide.

  • Audio conveniently recorded via potato.
