A case of hemiplegia .On the affected side the reflexes are brisk, and there is ankle clonus. This is a repetetive movement of the foot when it is suddenly dorsiflexed.Ankle clonus is a sure sign of upper motor neurone lesion.

  • So did he damage his spine in the C6, C7, C8 region (hence hypotonic fingers but hyperreflexic lower limb symptoms) or did he suffer a stroke in his left cerebral hemisphere?
