Hi this is my Mothers Day card design for this year. And for something new, I have made a batch of them to sellso if you want to get your hands on one, there are a few for sale at my Etsy Shop, WendyNasmithDesigns.

The flowers on this card have been handmade by using a paper scraper by Making Memories, then scrunched up and lightly sanded to create the shabby chic effect. Theyve been worked so much the paper has almost a suede feel to itvery tactile! The bottom of the card is made out of vellum with the sentiment embossed in brown ink. The colour scheme is very Spring-like and reflects my mood and the weather here in Leicester when I made them! ;0)

  • TUS FLORES ESTAN BUENAS

  • @HattyAl ¡Gracias!

  • Which fiskars edge punch are you using? Also, what size do you cut the circles out initially, before distressing them?

i love it! and i absolutely LOVE your videos, I love that you use all the different techniques!

  • @babyblueagle1 It is the "Fiskars Apron Lace border punch". I can't remember what size the initial circles were...I did this card so long ago now! But I'm guessing it was probably about 2.5" for the largest, 1.75" for the middle and 1" for the centre. Hope this helps =)

  • And thank you for all your wonderful ideas! I love them all and you are a wondeful teacher!

You should have an Etsy account! I have one under crafterdi

    Happy Crafting!

  • @coastalmom77 I do have an Etsy account - wendynasmithdesigns. PS this card is now up for sale in my shop ;-)

  • @magicmushroomer - if you haven't got anything constructive to say, how about just not saying anything at all? There's no need to be offensive, regardless of what you might think of my card design, tutorial or otherwise. Thanks.

  • That was great, totally kicked my mothers day card's ass! Gave me lots of ideas for the future though. What's the name of the glue mouse thing? x

  • I just looked up your website it is so great!

Are you doing well on Etsy?

My daughter;s shop is called thenakedbird and I am under crafterdi / Everlasting Impressions I love, love, love your site! Which does better for you? Is it worth getting your own website? I am trying to figure out how to get more views and sales. If people actually take the time to read my verses then they order but I am wondering how some people have over a thousand sales and some have less than 20!!!!! ?
