This really touched me. I am a shaped-note singer from North Carolina. I have loved lined out singing also for years. I am sad it is not found much any more in most parts of the country.

This song can be found in the Gobel Primitive Baptist hymn book for all lovers of sacred songs. "When i survey the wond'rous cross" is on page 91 and is song number 94. This book can be found in the primitive baptist churches, also.

I love this video of a dear brother in the Primitive Baptist Church. I heard him in person many years ago and was saddened to hear of his illness and death. He had a wonderful gift to sing Primitive Baptist songs and grew in his gift of preaching and singing since I had heard him.

you can get a copy of the book through Primitive Baptist Library....I believe its located in Indiana. But you can look it up online.
