I'm testing Electribulator (http://renaud.warnotte.be/) version 0.0.7 receiving notes from midi keyboard. Next, Electribulator dispatch notes on each voice of the Electribe (to make polyphony). Electribulator also add an super VCA system with multiple LFO and a sound presets system to send preset to each channel of the electribe.

Now you can have a decent VCA for Level or/and CutOff.

I'm thinking in a way to use the electribe has is, I mean, use the electribe "keyboard" or arp as the midi keyboard. In this way, all VCA, VCO can work. Actually you absolutely need to connect the electribe to electribulator and all you control stuff to electribulator.

  • hi i used this software when you first showed it and had great results although it had some glitches , it is a fantastic bit of software . Would it be possible to simply have it embedded in a microchip on a circuit board so it the electribulator could be a box ? id happily pay for a kit as would many others

  • @Python4s Hello, thank for the kind comment. I didn' t knew somebody used it except myself sometimes.

It was in my idea 1 years ago to buy a little µcomputer with linux and java embedded and 2 midi port (or usb - midi equivalent) with electribulator inside also to have a complete standalone solution for polyphony only (yes, without GUI only the polyphonizer is usefull).

But seeing the price of these little piece of electronic I've abandonned the idea.

  • WOW ! UR A GENIUS! why didnt korg preprogram it like this, it makes no sense!!! man, still incredible work, i was getting ready to make a circuit that keeps reseting the midi at a high frequency to make it seem that there was a chord being played. thanks alot! your a hero! i wish i was that good with programming i would give free software out like that too! thank you so much.

  • @boxa888 Thanks you sir ;) Hope U'll enjoy

  • @bobstereo I'm happy to hear that, thank you Bobstereo. Please let me hear what you do with the software if you do something, even if you find it "crappy" ;)

  • @wax78 excellent polyphony at last.. great job wax78 :)

  • @MrSidMan Yes in think you understand right. It's a sort of "midi channel" redispatcher.

I don't know exactly for the bass line question i don't understand it very well :) But you can of course use "the monophonic" mode to disable polyphony for the 5 voices and just use the Modulators to create some nicer sound (and have note sync with LFO enabled or not).

Have fun with it, and you can contact me when you want via my website.

  • @bobstereo Off course its working normally on all windows (xp, vista). Linux perhaps, and mac too perhaps for latest versions.

  • @bobstereo You can use cubase as midi source yes, or a midi keyboard or something else. I've got a BCR2000 (that's my midi interface on the PC). The EMX input is connected to the BCR2K output, and BCR2K input or USB is used to receive notes. Eletribulator will have to choose the appropriate MIDI INPUT for notes and events, then will have to choose the correct output to electribule. But it's written in the manual as well ;)

  • So let me understand this correctly... You are using all 5 parts to achieve poly-phonetics? The Electribulator just chops up the piano controller in sections and distributes them to the appropriate synth # on the electribe?

If that makes sense. I see all 5 parts going when you are playing. So you can't achieve a bass line with a poly of another synth? Maybe I should just D\L and try it. :) Still very cool. Thanks for sharing!
