A couple buddys and myself got a penthouse suite here for a couple nights when I was in the Navy. (our sub anchored off the shore from Lahaina). Wasn't in the room ten minutes and my buddy sits on the glass living roon table and shatters it. . but they replaced it free of charge. Later that night the same buddy had been out to the local bars and came back and threw up off the back balcony. . dunno where or on who it may have landed. Good memories, indeed.

Just a bit of advice: When u come to Maui leave your mainland "attitude" on the mainland. You will a much better time and another thing: when u get on the road to Hana, please understand that we know u are awestruck with the beauty and want to see everything..we know what we have here, just please pull to the shoulder to let other drivers behind u pass because u may be on vacation, but we actually live here and have things to do. Pull over tp take your pics and vids. The locals appreciate that!

I am kamaaina and live on Maui. I know several other kamaaina who work at this resort and it is nothing but constant drama and b.s. Haole's from the mainland come to visit Maui. You oooh and aahhh over our beaches, mountains and reefs. You think everyone on Maui is so nice, so much "aloha" here. LOL! Aloha is an illusion when you purchase it. To be truthful, 99 percent of locals hate you when u bring your mainland "attitude" here and want to to hurry back to Kahului and get back on the plane.
