I think they were probably Martin Bluegrass strings at the time. the unwounds are light gauge, and the wounds are medium.

haha yes i do, and you can see it in several of my videos--but generally for more agressive flatpicking songs like this i prefer the dread.

abrittain - The riff at 38 seconds caught my attention as well, reminds me of Tony Rice. I tried it too and it didn't exactly sparkle for either - lol.
