i wonder if it could give u a piggy back ride. x]

Is this Lucy as in, the book "growing up with Lucy?"
-
That's very cool, the jump surprised me. Balance has always been a problem with robots i think but this seems fine.

I have no idea what you're talking about, this robot happens to be Belgian.

America is soooooooooo behind

a great set of legs for COG

Great..
I am using pneumatic muscle for my research. this one that is done in VUB is fantastic.
I have uploaded a vert simple test on fluidic muscle. however, later I will upload the single link and two link arm actuated by PAMs.

I will not continue the research towards the biped Lucy, but I will probably build a successor.

NICE!
Does the actuatorts have proportional controlled stiffness, or fixed rates?
Good luck :)

The stiffness of the actuators is controllable, but a fixed value is chosen during walking. I developed a strategy to control the stiffness to reduce the energy consumption and evaluated this on a pendulum powered by muscles, but not implemented in the control architecture because the robot is currently walking too slow to benefit already from stiffness control.
