  • What plectrum do use with the A4?

  • Gibson sounds the best to my ear. Also the mowry sounde very flat on the treble side.

  • I like them all - but the Gibson is my favorite. Of course, I would, I have a 1916 A4. Nothing like that sweet vintage oval hole sound.

  • My favorite sound on this recording was the Pheonix. The Gibson sounds like and old friend, very familiar and instantly loveable! The Mowry has its own thing going on. Kind of an F/oval hybrid. Sounds very versital, but is my least favorite through the youtube medium and 1/4" speakers on my laptop! :) They all sound very "high end." Thanks, that was very interesting!!

  • I really like the sound of the Phoenix. The note seperation was great. But they all had sweet characteristics.
