How to Keep Your Satellite Tv From Going Out In The Winter?

1. If you are looking to not have interruptions in your satellite tv during winter these simple steps can help. This can keep you from having to wait or pay for a service call. First locate the dish on your home and make sure you can access it without killing your self.

2. Once you have located the dish and made sure it is in a safe location for you to access it use a 16' or 28'ft. ladder depending on your house to get to the dish. Make sure you check the ground for ice and set the ladder firmly in place. Have some one hold the ladder at the bottom for you for added safety.

3. Now you have to options to keep snow from blocking you signal. The first method is to take a large plastic bag and put it over your dish and secure it with rope or plastic ties. There are dish cover kits that you can buy but if money is tight a plastic bag will work.

The second method is to use Pam cooking spray. You simple spray a light coat on to the face of the dish(oval part). Make sure when doing either of these methods you do not move the dish as this could throw off the alignment and signal quality.

These quick steps will keep you from waiting a week for someone to come fix the problem and keep money in your pocket by avoiding service call fees.
