A Cambodian court has ruled against a Thai man on charges of spying on former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra when he was in Cambodia last month.
Thirty-one-year-old Siwarak Chothipong was found guilty of sending Thaksin's flight schedule to a Thai diplomat.
The Thai government says the flight information was publicly available. The diplomat was expelled from Cambodia last month over the allegation.
The mother of the accused man was visibly upset with the ruling.
Last month, the Thai Prime Minister urged Cambodia to follow "international standards" in pursuing any case against the Thai man.
Chothipong was arrested in Cambodia on November 12.
Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's visit to Cambodia last month strained relations between the two countries.
Cambodia's Prime Minister offered Thaksin a job as an economic advisor and rejected Bangkok's request to extradite him.
