I would suggest you study the facts before spouting Obama's nonsense. Notice he doesn't make any suggestions for real solutions to the problem, he just gives this wish-washy "both are to blame" b.s. The problem is not our taxes, our taxes are fine right now, although our tax SYSTEM is a piece of junk, the problem is spending (which he touched on). Funny that he talks about "pet-projects" as though Universal Healthcare wasn't a 1 trillion dollar voter stimulus plan.

Democrats are always quick to blame "both parties," when really all of our problem can be traced to foolish policies. As far as tax goes, America has the second highest corporate tax rate in the world (behind japan, who is... lowering theirs). As far as the rich not paying their fair share, besides paying the highest corporate tax rates, the top 50% income earners pay 98% of the taxes collected through our ALREADY progressive tax system, with the top 1% paying 40% of all taxes collected.

Pet projects ? What kind of pet project costs billions of dollars? I guess Bush invading Iraq was a multiple billion dollar pet project.

If you would support a nationwide sales tax IN PLACE OF income tax, OR (alternatively) an FLAT INCOME TAX, where EVERYONE pays a fair and EQUAL percentage, I would vote for you for president!

The US will do just fine, come on people, put your ignorant pessimistic attitude down. Knock it off, all countries have frictions between political parties, that has always happenned and always will. America went through a civil war and still recovered from it and became more powerful. It will happen the same again. And NAURU will support America. Our national anthem rocks!
