Are you talking about the Namacarya, Srila Haridas Thakur? He was lifted by Lord Caitanya Himself upon his demise and carried, surrounded by the devotees. He is not Lord Balarama, Lord Nityananda Prabhu is Krishna's brother Balarama when Krishna appears as Lord Caitanya.
