  • That sucks. I'm sure GM, in it's infinite wisdom, could design a 6 speed that would work. Plus I've also heard the 6 speed couldn't handle the torque, but that can't be right cuz other cars that have torque can be matched with a 6 speed.

  • This is GM were talking about but then again I have beat on mine like crazy and still good, and for those that want a 6 speed better do more road racing and AutoX than drag. 6 gears will slow you down on the drag strip but 6 gears in a road race you have a better range of high RPM's to choose from with one more gear.

  • I just helped install my friends new GT28 turbo kit on his 06 Cobalt LS and damn that thing is a monster on 12lbs of boost.

  • I wouldn't push any more than that with intake manifold pressures...but yea I bet it is.

Soon I'm installing the Eaton on my LE5...

  • top speed is 160, ive already had mine over 150

  • Get it tuned and bump the top speed up to 180 with HP Tuners and bump your power up and you should see 160. :D

I think these cars are drag limited anyway.

  • please when you make more vids keep the window closed that wind noise is annoying

  • Dude i really dont know where ur getting ur facts from. but i personally know 4 guys who had speed 3's. and all of them blew the motors. look up a guy on here name (laloosh) he had the fastest one for a little while. i met him at cp and hung out with him for a while.

  • Yes you can turbo a 06 Cobalt LS very easily.

  • so you can install a turbocharge on an LS and LT he ?

  • not true. theyre built for turns, man. they handle just as well as those evos and stis, and theyre now faster.

  • its not that it wont hold the torque it would actually decrease the fuel economy of the car as well as lower the power band of the car which infers more mods and other things gm would have to do to get it back in the nerrow power band on the motor. a 5 speed was the best choice for the motor rather than the 6 speed. that is y gm didnt use a 6 speed

  • Those LNF's damn sure hold the ground. So road racing is what their made for. IMO
