  • @SpaceOldskool ..I don't even think richard could give you an answer..To have a long career in the UK and be black is difficult to say the least any minor slip up along the way and its difficult to get it back.Where as white artist can mess up and they are more or less applauded.I don't wanna say its a racist thing (that would be too easy) its just a sales and marketing thing..its how to sell the product to the majority of the population.

  • @bobeagle007 How?

  • richard had a chance at the big time but blew it..

  • @XmastergsanX I am from Norfolk.......nuff said about that.

  • @ThePsydome

mastergsan here, cant manage to log in with my old account because of this dumb account linking crap. anyway i think Lenny was great, imo he puts on a strong Birmingham accent most of the time. and being from B'ham i find it annoying. Everyone on TV thinks its funny to take the mik out of our accent, making that dumb sounding accent, ive never heard anyone talk like that before... ok im ranting.

  • @mastergsan Sure sure. But You can see a throughline in the whole of comedy whether black or white. my point is that there is an Black american style of comedy to which all black comedians adhere. Blackwood copied that style and it just didn't ring true for a british black man. It wasn't him. I can also say the same for lenny henry. He also puts on a black American voice all the time. I respect Stephen k amos because he stays true to himself.

  • @ThePsydome

And Eddie Murphy style is very Richard prior. most people copy somebody. but what you say is true.

  • Blackwood was too much of a wannabe american. His style is very eddie murphy. He was a national joke when he came to the attention of the general public because he released songs where he rapped in an american accent and dressed and acted like an american black man. But it was a shame..

  • lol, I didnt know Rich could still churn 'em out like this...he's nuts lol

  • Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
