Not since Franklin Delano Roosevelt's first term in office has a new Presidential administration been so closely watched. Challenges of the economy, health care, America's status with foreign countries, and the historic fact that Barack Obama is the first African American elected President makes the conclusion of his first 100 days a moment to mark.

Penn scholars analyzed those 100 days from a variety of standpoints on April 30, 2009.

Diana Mutz, professor of communication and political science and director of the National Annenberg Election Survey, discussed the tone of the electorate coming in to the inauguration.

David Eisenhower, director of the Institute for Public Service at Annenberg, discussed whether or not the Obama aura can last.

David Grande, from the University of Pennsylvania Health System, looked at the Administration's handling of health care.

Brooks Jackson, director of FactCheck.org, explained how accurate and on target the Administration's message is, and

Al Felzenberg, who developed a new method of measuring Presidential leadership, rated the new president.

Penn's John L. Jackson, Jr. served as moderator.
