  • thnanks for making these classics available i would rather spend the evening watching the classics then venture out to the multi plex to view the over produced garbage that makes up much of todays cinema rife with swearing and no holding back.

I doubt we will ever see screen actors again like Gaynor and Ford that distinctive charisma they had got blown away also peoplek new how to dress on those days i

  • good actors good direction medicore plot that looks like it was adapted from some dime a dozen pot bolier. Gloria Graham and the white jumper must have had the men in the theatre in a stiff predicament while smoking their marlbo. Agree the ending is crudy. and Gaynors chaacter is reduced to a hungry slut although at begning of the film it is he r husband who presureher into going to see the boss she dosent want ford is at his smoudring best Crawford wins out as such a despicible character

  • they don't make classics like these anymore......

  • Thank you for posting/uploading. Never seen it and much enjoyed it, esp Gloria. Great stuff - perhaps its influence extended to 1985's Body Heat?

  • Thanks so much for putting this on here. I have wanted to see this very bad.

  • What s strange ending. She tells him the truth knowing he's a murderer and has knocked her around before. He kills her, sits down, and the next shot is Ford smiling, waving and blowing the horn. If this were a European movie, all of that would have a deep psychological metaphor for something. Here in America it is just a dumb ending, or to be nicer, abrupt. Absolutely a good movie with great actors. Thanks!

  • Always liked Broderick Crawford.

  • Thank you for posting. It´s a great movie and Glenn Ford is at his best! /eMMa

  • That's it?

  • The Production Code censors made them take out the real sordidness of the characters and in the process, a real morality tale became a programmer. However, these days, there'd be nothing but sordidness, and not much else, so . . .

Did you notice the advertising on the bridge in the distance at 14:25: "Trenton Makes, The World Takes" ? We had a good economy then!!

  • Cain and Abel, David and Bathsheba. Thanks for posting. I didn't mind the ending, but it did leave you wondering. Tx for posting.

  • I agree, it ended too abruptly.

  • Very good ! Thank You for Posting.

  • the ending was kinda lame
