  • These are *very* cool. Put up as many of them as you want... They make great web browsing background music!

  • I agree, I listen to them all the time when browsing the web. I have more to post as time goes by.

  • A slightly different version of this song (intro chopped off, and a tiny bit slower) appears on another Seeburg record, Basic series BA-121 (10-1-72). It's interesting how this song migrated from the "Industrial" to the "Basic" library. This 1964 version is superior.

  • @lindaandleo This is basically a tune from Disney's "Pinocchio". I'm sure Seeberg or whoever had to obtain the publishing rights to perform this for their release.

  • May I use this in one of my videos?

  • very nice. i like the disney one bettr, the violins going insane in the end make it more awesome and joyful, for me at least

  • Interesting to watch this disc crawl around the turntable at 16 1/2rpm. Saw in a related video this is from Pinocchio - now the title makes sense.

Actually, this title is quite punny!

  • Oh Yeah! I can remember hearing these in various doctor's offices and elevators! ;)

  • Any way of obtaining this music in

any format today? Is anyone putting

    them out, even privately?

  • yheaa...dat wat i was thkin ;)

  • Seeburg recycled their recordings for years - I have about 24 hours of the Basic and Mood Libraries on CD and there are dozens of duplicated tracks. They changed the speed slightly, or cut an intro here and there, but theyre still from the recordings. A lot of the stuff on those early 1970s Basic records are from the 1960s.

  • Seeburg's "Background Music Libraries" (recorded on 16 2/3rpm dics and played on special turntables to ensure "uninterrupted" blocks of music) were "custom-tailored" for the places they were heard in, 'KT'. Sometimes, a melody was just as "comfortable" in a factory cafeteria as it was in a hotel lobby or a clothing store. So several of these tunes were "duplicated"on the various discs Seeburg "programmed" for those businesses...this one as well.
