  • Not fair that Dennis Edwards(sang 80% of tempts tracks) and the lead here is not featured in this presentation-..."politicians would say more taxes would solve everything..

  • @apofields you're right but at the time I couldn't find any single shots of Dennis on line it was just a lack of pictures thing no disrespect to Dennis Edwards by no means

  • I made a comment on this song a few minutes ago. But (as I listen to it again) I have to make another one. If this isn't genius. If this isn't classic. If it isn't every high and low note in music. If this isn't just about every damn thing music could ask for... well, if it could get any better, it'd be twins...

  • @MegaYoung54 I feel ya you just can't beat that old school music

  • this has been my all time favorite since i was 4 years old back then

  • @jody808 the good stuff never dies

  • This song works just as much as it did back in the 70's.

  • "Politicians say 'more taxes will solve everthing!''" Some things never change.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH YES ONE OF THE TEMPTS BEST . A GOOD MESSAGE IN THIS SONG.

  • This was the Tempts way of rapping before rapping became famous.

  • This is the only song (I think) that I can sing all the words to. How bout' that? But then again... I've had 40 years to memorize it. Oh well.

  • @TheFacelessActivist I think by August of '74, EVERYBODY wanted to "sock it" to Tricky Dick with a real big ass stick.

  • @gotch09

Really? That's pretty funny. Too bad nobody actually complied, though.

  • @TheFacelessActivist Well, canned laughter is a insult to say, perhaps say-a squirrel. But, now I remember. In like 68 or 69 (somewhere in there) Tricky Dick actually appeared on a tv program called "Laugh-In. His big line was "Sock it to me". I'm serious.
