Got my new Wouxun KG-UVD1P. It's a good radio and my first 2m/70cm HT so I guess my opinion doesn't mean much.

  • ok it has a sensitive front end but how much intemod it gets ? how does it perform in the city?

  • @sweetgyy If I send 5W 600khz down, it goes silent. But for the money, it's great. Sold mine after passing my license, couldn't bear the small quirks any longer. Bought an Icom IC-E91 with D-STAR and Yaesu VX-8GR instead. It's a perfect beginners radio, and/or backup radio.

  • I am waiting for mine. I've seen forum posts from people saying tehy are cheap but personally I would say they are actually priced corectly and that radio's from the main three are over priced, this is noticeable for accessories using similar technology to mobile phones (bluetooth headsets, batteries etc.).
