Koi Fingerling Frenzy

approximately 1000 koi fingerlings,6 weeks old.there were possible sankes,utsuris,bekko and kohakus spotted.size range from 1 inch to 2.5 inches. these are raised in 300 gallon pond.

Hey, I have been looking into spawning some koi, i went to a local fish seller the other day and he told me not to both its very hard to do and i probably wouldnt get any fish out of it. you seem to be doing every well, i couldnt help feeling that the fish seller just didnt wont me to grow my own and he wonted me to buy of him. you seem to have done a good job at raising them so it must be possible and not a total waste of time.

any help would be great

@fym125 yes it's simple but you need to prepare well and have another pond to hatch the eggs in and raise the fries.it's the first week that is critical but once the young kois started to feed on fishfood you can treat them just like any other fish.and one bit of advice fertilize koi eggs are hardy but once they hatch the fries are very sensitive to water changes which could kill your whole brood.also the eggs and fries needs lot of oxygen so aerate well.

brad gud day..naa ko pangutana ..kay ako kohaku ba pati uban koi nako murag naga luya man ..human ang kuhako naa na red fins then iyaha white sa body ng turn pink na...then pag d nko lantawon mag stay ra sila sa usa ka corner murag sick man sila...please help ...thanks

@heroangelo12345 pasenya na bai karon pa nako nabasa...basin chlorine burns na bai,or other chemicals.unsay imo gibutang?pag palit ug anti chlorine or used old water pag water change nimo...i hope ok na sila.taga asa di-ay ka bai?
