At .24 there is a pontoon bridge that looks like one I rode over in 1967. To the right was an older bridge we had been using but it was blown up one night by V.C. sappers. The bridge connected the DaNang area 1st Marine Regiment.

My friend, a Marine recon in nam once meet up with seabees (68) and said that was the only hot meal he had the whole time he was there. He is trying to make it up thru me. I am not worthy. I would lay down my life for any Marine. Thank you-

My Pepa was a Seabee. Thank you for serving our country.
Hello, my name is Amanda. My dad Ronald Diedrich was a Seabee in 1968-69, and stationed in Chu Lai. About 10 yrs ago, he was diagnosed with throat cancer (they are pretty sure from Agent Orange), and just recently diagnosed again for the 3rd time. I just want everyone to know how proud I am of him for his service, and to the rest of you Seebee's out there and Vietnam veterans reading this...... my deepest gratitude:)- Amanda
