First of all, note that this video is based on Mass Effect 1 but, because of the face-generator remaining the same in the following episodes, it's still relevant for ME2 and ME3. (Although ME3 adds some hair, beard and makeup.)

The purpose of this vid is to show you how to make a realistic looking female Shepard, since most gamers fail to find the design of their dreams. Not their fault, the Mass Effect face-generator is not so easy to use and does not allow you to see your Shep from every angle, which can get you some surprises when lauching the game. Mass Effect 2 generator allows you to have a better seeing of the side of the face (when you make your character leaning right (on your screen)) but 'still it's not enough'. I do not pretend to have the one solution but I give you some tips that may help you.

BioWare's assuming control of all scenes and music* in this vid. Maybe EA Reaper does too. This hurts you.

  • wait do you have to play mass effect 1 before 2 for the character if "the face-generator remaining the same in the following episode" what does that mean? (I only have ps3 and Mass Effect 1 is not for ps3 it's for xbox)

  • @ZexionLover411 No, I just mean that you can use these tips on any Mass Effect game. The visual aspect of the generator may change but not the mechanics. On any game of the series, the result you get by having one slider on one exact position will remain exactly the same. Except for some hair and makeup, which aren't much of a problem anyway.
