Ethanol subsides are about one thing: MONEY- not doing good. Ethanol is not environmentally friendly- It requires the destruction of vast tracts of forestland and timber ecosystems. Ethanol is not an alternative to foreign oil - Oil is needed to make and transport it, and it requires far too much farmland dedicated to corn production to make it viable. Ethanol subsidies do not save the family farm- They give more money to factory farms and corporations. Ethanol subsides do not promote green technologies- They crowd out investment in more environmentally safe biofuel alternatives. Find out more at: www.freedomandprosperity.org & www.cato.org

  • Seconded!

  • Eco-tards suck

  • Oil Companies are scared to death that the American Sheeple will wake up to "Alcohol as a gas" (probably not made from corn).

  • I see five gay guys throwing popcorn around the room. Hot!!

  • Funny, but too bad this is all bullshit....but hey, if anyone who doesn't think so wants to keep padding the pockets of big oil companies....go ahead, be a stubborn idiot. By the way, what is the price of gas now days?

  • Ethanol doesn't have to be produced from corn at all. It looks like corn isn't the best choice at all. There are grasses and other sources that will yield higher net energy gains. A recent study in the news today reports a 540% net gain. That's zero emissions.

How the corn industry is going to contain that remains to be seen.

  • Very funny!

  • finally some humorous reality about so called "green" technologies
