This is Joni's masterpiece. The melodic, harmonic and rhythmic structure are sheer perfection, and the poetry and imagery of the text goes to the root of my being. "You're in my blood like holy wine..."Joni is one of the giants of the 20th Century.

To the previous posters who were commenting on how her voice sounds on this performance - she was getting over a cold. Even so this is an amazing performance on an incredibly great piece of music. Thanks Joni for giving us this...you are a treasure.

Today I am thankful for Joni.....I know, I know....but it is the truth. A few weeks ago at a concert of mine in L.A. I sat at the piano and sang A Case of You...I sang it for my Mom and my sister and for the one that shall not be named. There is no song more beautiful in this world....none that speaks to me this way and it is an honor to know it..makes me smile to help any new person discover this song. Simply genius
