Draft Horse mowing with Sunshine machinery No. 24 Single Horse Mower. Trying to get paddocks mowed back. With all athe wet weather I can't seem to get enough sunshine to get out here and cut it. I raked up already from last weeks cut with atou Sunshine auto dump rake

Sounds like you are on another continent by your reference to "gas". If you look on the rural Heritage web site in the teamsters forum someone will help you set up a No.9 McCormick for one horse. You can cut down the bar to 33" and make shafts. Post a message there and you will get heaps of help

Did you make those shafts yourself?  There's no where around here where I can find a single horse drawn sickle mower. What's the maintenance like on that mower? I'm looking to mow my pastures down with one instead of wasting gas doing it.
