A compliation of footage from the 1972 French Grand Prix at Charade Circuit, Clermont Ferrand. This was the last of the 4 French Grand Prixs held at the Clemont-Ferrand Charade circuit, because of the danger of the track situated on the side of a mountain (like the Nurburgring) and stones on the track which caused many punctures and a stone from Emerson Fittipaldi's Lotus hit Helmut Marko in the eye, ending his racing career.
This is so great.A true man's and driver's circuit.Been reading an article about the track recently in an old issue of Motorsport magazine, and MAN,were they right!!!

Poor Chris Amon, if any driver ever deserved to win a Grand Prix after leading plenty of them and being forced to retire due to technical problems, it was him in the French GP 1972.
Sadly he was always in the wrong car at the wrong time. Had he remained in Ferrari for 1970 he probably would how won at least one race, seeing as he often was faster than Ickx in 1968.
The glorious Matra deserved to win one last time too.
