  • There's some kind of seal over one of the four torx screws. is that a warranty seal? should I just tear through it? I don't wanna tear anything important here..

  • @woodenregent Likely yes. Normally they use small stickers that can be removed with tweezers or similar.

  • @Livlaughlove2 No problem at all!

  • @RepairsUniverse Okay, thanks! :)

  • @Livlaughlove2 New adhesive would be suggested. I would also check the connection on from the touch screen to the motherboard, this can cause similar issues. Is possible it is defective, may be worth contacting the seller of the part directly for any other possible troubleshooting.

  • @RepairsUniverse I actually didn't use any adhesive at all.. I just reused what was already there. We just heated it up and stuck it back on. Theres also parts of the screen that seem to be unresponsive all the time, even when the screen isn't flipping out. Is it possible that the new screen is just defective or something?

  • @Livlaughlove2 Could be a few things. For the black screen after calls, this is caused by the proximity sensor being covered on the touch screen digitizer. If the screen randomly scrolls, this can be caused by the touch screen coming in contact with the LCD screen. What kind of adhesive was used to attach the screen?

  • Okay I did this yesterday, and it worked at first, but about an hour later my phone would have random freak outs. It called my friend and wouldn't let me hang up, and the screen just scrolls around all over the place when im not even touching it. Ive noticed it mostly happens when the keyboard is slid out or when its in landscape. Its frustrating as hell. Does anybody have an idea of what went wrong and how I can fix it??

  • @FayteOfRuin No problem at all! Great work with your repair!

  • Thank you, phone works great, replaced my dad's smashed digitizer c:
