    I realize how ridiculous it sounds, but he looks and sounds like an angel here. That and the interactions with the crowd via video editing magic... it's all so beautiful.     This ode to the death of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper might just be the best song ever written!!!! I have known the lyrics by heart since I was 5 years old in 1974 and it will always be, in my opinion, just that song!!!!!! God Bless you all!!!!!

    I remember like it was yesterday, New Year's Eve 1971, age 11, sitting on our front porch listening to WIBR (The Shack by the Track) in Baton Rouge, listening to the top 100 countdown of the year. The last song played before midnight, "Coming in at number 1, American Pie."
