  • I have had days like this but prefer no v.g....no bent down tubes yet. I fly a Moyes Extralite though...and usually come in hot on days like this!Does more v.g. really help?....maybe that's why some said a little too hot? please respond cause I'm very happy with my landings thus far for those conditions.

  • @bluesshayman : Hi Bluesshayman! Landing with speed with no VG is not too good because the wing can easily swing... In this video, I had half VG. My mistake was to decide to land fast in a turbulent zone and because of a lack of experience, I overpiloted... I never experienced this again so far. Ciaoo

  • HI Nicolas - that was not too bad, as you said, a little too much speed, Have you tried coming out of prone an onto the uprights a little earlier, it reduces the workload on finals?

  • @armandin2048 : Hi Armandin. I dont like to get out of prone too early. I dont feel confortable to pilot standing.

  • your aproach is not good!

  • @viagro1980 : I had turbulences and overpiloted... for sure this was a bad landing

  • looks tough

  • 103th ahah

  • looks like PIO to me !

  • The expressions on the mans face are priceless..

  • Dude...I think you recovered well... mustve been pretty scary there for a few moments

  • @nikoumouk427 Basically the most risky times during hang gliding are takeoff and landing, and both require you to have your feet on the ground. You should not let yourself get uneasy with upright piloting. It is how we began learning to hang glide. Respect this basic skill and keep it with you for the times when you might need it. (that is each foot launch and landing 8-)

  • @nikoumouk427 : I know that feeling, but that is why you need to practice that too. After all you cannot land in prone position (no wheels on your basetube, and even with wheels not guaranteed to land on a well maintained airstrip all the time) so I suggest that you get upright way up high and get used to it so that down low when it is important, you will be comfortable with it. It gives you drag, and you can come down in a steeper angle and need less clear area for landing.

  • Fuuuuuu- that looks like fun, I must try this one day!

  • Well recovered, could have been much worse.
