  • thanks for this video. i think what they saw happen is what would naturally happen if they just left people alone, like the state, i mean. because even the scenario you put forth is still patronizing, controlling, and actually kinda freaky if they are learning about the student inside and out via monitoring. if the kids are given laptops and a "directory" and public facilities (schools) why do you think there needs to be that coercion element? or do you?

  • @TheOtherCounselor11 aah.. i agree and disagree with what you're saying. it's not so much that they are getting into the kid's head (though i suppose they would get to know them in a way similar to that of a good friend and business partner) it's just that people need a system that holds them accountable so that they can more easily work towards their goals, most people need someone to help point them in a direction they want to go. i mean looking at it from an anarchist perspective and

  • @TheOtherCounselor11 saying that people are better off deciding for themselves what is right for them, is somewhat true, and it would be a good system if everyone understood that the best thing to work on are gifts to society and that it helps t talk to successful older people about the stuff you want to do. as long as there's that understanding that you have to respect your elder because they have experience, but also that the elder has to respect the younger so they don't stifle their ambition

  • @TheOtherCounselor11 so, i guess, there has to be a balance where everyone respects eachother for who they are and understands that everyone has the same ability to figure things out. so the teacher is never there to say "this is how its done, do it this way", the teacher's there so that when the student comes to them with a problem the teacher says "this is how i would do it, here's why, but do whatever you think is best".... but no, i don't think coercion needs to be there, the atmosphere of

  • @TheOtherCounselor11 happy wonder and ambition would, with unimposing wisdom from everyone around, be enough to get people to put themselves in a direction they want to go.
