There are lots of companies better than Klipsch, I prefer my B&W's to any I've heard, BUT there are many worse speakers as well. horns can be sensitive to placement for sure but when they are well designed as most of the higher end Klipsch are and placed well in a treated room they can be as good or better than many high-end speakers utilizing other types of drive units. Lower end Klipsch generally aren't too good IMO, but it always comes down to preferences in music, volume, and amplification.
