Trying to record some sound with this awesome all valve head.
Everything was recorded using two mic, 1 Shure PG58, and 1 Samson C03 condenser mic. Directly into Logic.
Nothing effects added in post-production.
Reverb comes from the head.
Behringer Minimic preamp on Samson condenser.

Gear Used:
Epiphone Les Paul standard plain top, with Gfs Dream 90, and Seymour duncan JB humbucker.
Fender Stratocaster 1985 American Vintage Reissue 1962
Blackstar HT-20
Custom Made 1x12" Celestion G12-T75 cab.

Hope you enjoy!

  • Hey where can I buy a mic stand like that?

  • @hipermandan That's my little secret... ;)

  • Should I get this with a 412 or a 212? I rehearse in my garage, so the volum only affects me, but I don't want to use my hearingprotection when I rehearse without my band. Any tips?

  • @EivindS94 Cab Size does not affect volume in a sensible way.

Perhaps you'd have a better bass response from a 412, and a fatter tone for that than what you would have with a 212. In the end cab's type do not influence in a sensible way the volume, but change a lot the harmonic response of your amp. So take what you like the most. Volume would be similar!

  • What is the clean headroom like in a loud and live situation. Don't know whether i want the Ht50 club head or this Ht20

  • @scaline1 In a big live situation, if you want to hear your amp straight from the cab (without the help of some good monitor system) go for the ht50 'cause the 20 will surely break up easily on clean channel.

  • @bluesystuff oh, okay. I thought it was about how much air the amp was moving, and if it moved a lot of air it would feel louder, or something like that. okay, thanks. I think I'll go for a 412. It looks better and as you say, it gives a better bass response and so on, I've heard that before. Thanks again :)

  • It's surely a pretty amp for studio and to gig out. Anyway I won't define it as a hybrid between a fender and a marshall. If it can sound, for sure, really close to a marshall hi-gain amp, its clean it's really different from a fender amp. It's more "sterile" or transparente if you prefer! :)

  • I;m Lookng At The 20 Combos.What Do Ya Think ?

I Want That Fener Deluxe Sound Meets Marshal....about right ?? For Studio and Giging Out.

    Great Video... thks // : )

  • That's alot of amp for being 20 watts
