Saturn passes the other side of Titan with smaller moons swirling around. Made with the Celestia Open Universe program. The spacecraft, Cassini, is currently in orbit around Saturn. There is an animation of it among my other clips here at YouTube. It released the probe, Huygens, which descended to the surface of Titan in January 2005. This clip shows the relative positions of Titan and Saturn at the 1st - 4th of February 2021.

  • I love the program, its what Ive always wanted kind of

  • @EdMcStinko It's wonderful to be able to picture something of these places. Pity we won't be going there very soon or very fast.

  • Thanks. I enjoyed them. If you look through my videos here at YouTube there are quite a lot of scientific ones spread out. A lot of them are from general interest in science developed through reading science magazines. There's always something new passing by.
