  • Your bass really sounds good! Tell me about it! Also: are you taking students?

  • @painter1955 Yes I am accepting students - in person if you live in the Chicago area or via Skype if you don't. Drop me an email if you're interested. bill (at) billharrisonmusic (dot) com

  • what is that picture behind you of the saxophone player and where did you get it

  • @thepurplebottIe Sorry for the late reply. The painting is called Jazz in Red by Ann deLorge. Visit her site: jazzartpaintings (dot) com

  • in the b chord the triad goes b, "Eb", f#. not a#

  • I was wrong to say A# but it is actually a D#. There's no Eb in the key of B. But thanks for pointing out the slip.

  • I have learned more from your videos then 3 months of bass lessons. Your videos are straight to the point the real deal. Thank you so much for the videos. Happy Walking!

  • @Yondaimeku i guess i mean that there is no playing 'correctly', but there sure is playing 'incorrectly'. hey thanks for your comment!

  • @bulletman100 there is no playing correctly. Music is about sound and so many people miss that. If it sounds nice to the person playing it then it's being played "correctly"

  • so nice to see someone using proper left hand position. -all i see on youtube is jazz guys playing solos all over the board using only their first 3 fingers with their 4th flailing wildly in the air. this is so refreshing to see someone play correctly.

  • You should get a medal for putting these videos out

  • Bill, great teaching thanks so much. Have you ever thought of doing a lesson about incorporating 6ths?

  • Great intonation & tone & very helpful for those starting out on upright bass thanks
