Another reason is: Syd played and made music only for fun and surprise (the essence of psychedelism). He had nothing to do with professionnalism. That could explain why he took more and more acid in order to continue to feel fun and surprise with music, and life. But drug addiction and too much pressure on him did'nt help him.
