  • That's proof that the cans these episodes were once contained in still exist (note the spelling), not the episodes themselves

  • That's not proof of anything and you really REALLY can't spell

  • @TheD0CT0RWH0fan The problem is animating episodes is that it's very expensive. Fortunately the soundtrack for ALL missing episodes survive, so it would be possible, if they could make it cheap enough, or sell enough of the DVDs to continue making them.

  • Unfortunately, we will never see ALL the classic series on dvd or any other media, not only are there episodes lost, but there was also ones that were recorded over. I think what the BBC should do, is release some of the missing ones that they still have the sound recording to, and do what they did with The Invasion. I thought it was well done and didn't seem out of place. Who agrees the BBC should get their act together?

  • 100% proof that some cans exists somewhere! Brilliant. 100% proof that you can't spell either.

  • Proof this guy is a bit of a tool.

  • Well, I'm convinced! Tin cans? Say no more! Say no more!

  • Can's were re-used so often you get back missing episode cans but they contain something else. If New Zealand has these films they would have given them back.

  • I must have missed the bit where you prove that the films still exist, because all I saw was a couple of old reused film cans. What a shame you can't tell the difference between proof and wild, unfounded speculation.

  • if there real why haven't they released them on dvd

  • the episodes were put in film cans and sold abroad but most of the time they would end up scrapped, having film cans with the episodes on means nothing
