The religious right is terribly effective at cornering the market on children's entertainment. The same interests got Bert and Ernie to stop being roomies on Sesame street because they could be construed as being gay. Kids don't think about that crap, they think Bert is a square who eats oatmeal and Ernie is the fun guy with a rubber duck. The only reason these idiots go after cartoon characters is because they act out some part of a sexual fantasy buried in the mind of repressed fundamentalists
