I changed the title to something obscure so fewer people would find it and complain. I'm not a fan of removing videos altogether. I think there's an implicit reasonable expectation that what we see will remain available.

Cameo by ItsBrent, then the story of the city in the middle of America's great industrial struggle.

  • Joe Felice, party animal or Bore from the Bay? That's the question. You really should try to have more fun when out on the town, Joe. Like, why come to St. Louis and drive through decay. Folks from here don't even do that. Go to a ball game, have a cold beer, eat a brat (litterally). Many magnificent neighborhoods here. The Hill, U-City, Central West End, Soulards, Washington Ave. Try some Stl-style barbecue or pizza, or Ted Drews, have some Fun. Meet some Girls. Saint Louis... Great Town!

  • You're a one-woman good cop/bad cop.

  • What are you trying to accomplish by posting this video? St. Louis is a great place to live and a beautiful city.I've lived in St. Louis city my entire life.

  • This video contains the bias of one day in a city guided by a host who wanted to share his perspective with me. It's not false, but it's far from complete.

Did my annotation at 0:30 fail to make it better?

  • ok I live in St. Louis and it looks like you were just driving around the north side. You did not show the good parts. My neighborhood Dogtown is a excellent working class area of the city. About 90% white.

  • You're right, most of the footage is from the north side. My 1 or 2 days in a city are going to be heavily influenced by what my host wants to show me. If you find another portrayal of St. Louis that reflects the city as you see it, let me know.

  • Sounds like St. Louis is the Detroit of the 50's... i never realized that St. Louis had deteriorated as shown... what used to be the gateway of the west has become a forgotten city. we don't need gateways when we have airports right? lol thanks for sharing the knowledge, luckily St. Louis has really done alot of advertising to try to bring tourism back in.

  • i F LOVE YOUR VIDEOS !!!!!!!!!

  • Yea, pretty lame smear job. Many things Joe says are true, but this video is way over the top. There are many, many more dumps in the U.S. than St. Louis, Joe's town included. Seek out the bad and you'll find it. Pick up the local "things to do" section of the newspaper and you'll have a great time.

  • 64124 is Kansas City. And he was pretty obviously talking about the city of St. Louis, not "the St Louis area".

  • Wrong again, jeo. I'm just a good citizens of this great town. My portrayal of Saint Louis was based on facts and data. Not a drive-by through the virtually uninhabbited, depressed section of town. What city in America doesn't have those same images? It was just a waste of film, gas and YouTube space. I have family all over Cali, including San Fran and Oaktown. And we just can't understand why you came all this way to point your camera @ decay when you have so much more in your hometown.

  • Been to your town, joe-San Francisco, and it can be a real toilet. For your next visit, I'll be your tour guide. After you spend the day at the riverfront, riding paddle boats and helicoptors and up in the Arch, take the train west to the World Famous St. Louis Zoo @ Forest Park. Catch an Off-Broadway play @ the Muny, visit the History or Art Museum and play a round of golf or have diner lakeside. For Nightlife there's the Landing, Wesport, Soulard, plenty of hot bands and cold beer... Day 1.

  • The next time you do a drive-by joe, take a minute and smell the roses. Here's a more accurate point of view of the Lou. Of the 100 wealthiest U.S. zip codes only 1 is in Missouri, 64124 -St. Louis; Of 10 wealthiest zips in Missouri, 8 are in the St. Louis area; Of Only 10 Fortune 500 companies in Missouri, 8 are in the St. Louis area; Barns Hospital in STL is in U.S. Top 10; St. Louis Children's Hospital is in U.S. top 10. Webster University in St. Louis is in top 12 in the Nation.
