My brothers 2003 PMP Mini Sprint with an alcohol powered Yamaha R6 street bike motor. This motor has restrictor plates currently in it because the class he runs in requires them.

This current motor (not our race motor) has a full head port and polish[intake/exhaust] and a reflashed ECU.

  • do i hear a turbo?

  • HAHA. Yes. It has a giant T88 turbo from a Toyota Corvette.

No you moron. Do you see a freakin turbo!?!?!?!?!

  • was curious, i have 2 r6's and you just ran straight alcohol with no problems?

  • Yes. You have to rejet the carbs. You need 2 times as much alcohol to make them run.

Alcohol is about $5 a gallon and you will get like 10mpg. haha.

  • Most of yall have obviously never raced a micro/mini sprint. Yes it does have a transmission for whoever came up with that idea. On some of our tracks we will run a little over 100 at the end of the straight and others we will run in the 90's. Please stop talking crap when you've never even raced one of these.

  • @ Kellykayek5 and these things are very easy on fuel

  • what kind of restrictor plates were you using?

  • @KelleyKayeK5 it's fast artard. alcohol = more fuel = faster. and cleaner. I'd be running it in my race bikes if I had a distillery.

  • but why would you want to race achoal ? gas is cheaper , i mean atleast for my go kart it is ;;

  • cody brulett right? i raced quarter midgets with him

  • put a hotbox on it :)

  • @ruckert80 you have a rpm limit?

well also when you get passed that number you are out of the power band

  • @njmvermont

yes it burns faster, but it provides a little more horsepower, and is cheaper than gas. that is why it is used for racing, and no you cant add oil to it

  • dosent the alch burn faster than gas leading to a less efficent fuel and can it be solved by adding oil

  • Damn some people are dumb first of all racing methanol is cheaper than gas and second that's a pretty mediocre car I used to run a sawyer chassis on a fully port and polished 3 gear fully equipped race motor
