  • ethanol burns twice as fast, corrosive, and will jack the prices of food up so fast, it isn't funny

  • Thank you for your comments. I think it is important to note that there are pros and cons when considering any alternative fuel.

  • @simracr94 do you really believe that ethanol burns up twice as fast, is to corrosive, and jacks up the food prices? corn ethanol isn't perfect. but they only use the starch, the protein is fed to livestock. corn is a starting place. you cant get funding for second generation bio fuel without the 2200 fueling stations in the US that corn ethanol got us. i use it every day in a Kia that isn't flex fuel and it isn't burning up twice as fast. i view it as 105 octane cheep racing fuel. works grate.

  • At the moment the advantages and disadvantages of using biofuels depends on the space, climate and economy of a country - but from an environmental point of view everyone benefits.

  • I takes two gallons of petrolium products to produce 1 gal. of ethenol its true ...so do you still think it makes you feel good

  • just a note, not trying to be negative, just smart, first, you are burning food, worst gas mileage, water forms in gas tank, less power, more engine ware, older cars/trucks about 1970-2004 not good for rubber lines , safety issue eats them away, will void all warranties if amount is more then 10 %, states that in owners manuals, fuel will go bad quicker than gas, will make engine run hotter, enough to effect cat. converters etc..,will have to clear to much land, which is/will be used up,uses water.

  • it causes 20 percent richer fuel mixtures and cost the same as regular while getting 20 percent less mpg so just buying regular gas is best
