This is a video tutorial that shows how to connect your xbox 360 console to xbox live. This usually works for xbox 360, playstation 3, wii, or any external devise that your computer can give internet connection to. I will be using windows vista home premium but I think it works with all windows vista. I did not copy the other videos on youtube. I figured this out about 2 years ago on my own but just got a youtube account a couple months ago!

Let it Rock (Radio Edit)-Kevin Rudolf ft Lil' Wayne

If it is too fast for you here are step by step instructions
-go to start
-go to control panel
-go to view network status and tasks
-click on manage network connections on the left
-click on your local connection and hold control until you click on your wireless connection
-right click on either one of your connections and go to bridge connections

TO DISABLE FIREWALL...
-go to start
-go to control panel
-click on security
-click on turn windows firewall on or off
-go to off and click on the dot
-click on ok

If DNS fails, try setting it to automatic!

  • okay so i did everything that you told me to and i did everything others had said to do and my xbox still wont connect with my windows pc and it keeps telling me network failed. so what should i do?

  • @McLovin471 try disconnecting from every network except your wireless internet on your computer. then connect the ethernet to your pc and bridge. then try it. Also have you tried checking the sharing box. I show how to do it in the second step of my windows XP guide. It is very similar in vista. you shouldn't have any problems doing it that way.

  • Right on great video dude! it works!!

  • @struznik thanks. i appreciate it :)

  • when i try to bridge the two connections it shows a message saying that, "in order to bridge the connections i need at least 2 LAN or high speed internet connections." HELP!!

  • this might be the problem. If you have enabled connection sharing you need to turn that off before bridging. To do that you need to get to the place that shows all your connections (0:27) and right click on wireless connection. Then go to properties and go to the advanced tab. Then you will need to uncheck the boxes.
