okay so i did everything that you told me to and i did everything others had said to do and my xbox still wont connect with my windows pc and it keeps telling me network failed. so what should i do?

@McLovin471 try disconnecting from every network except your wireless internet on your computer. then connect the ethernet to your pc and bridge. then try it. Also have you tried checking the sharing box. I show how to do it in the second step of my windows XP guide. It is very similar in vista. you shouldn't have any problems doing it that way.

when i try to bridge the two connections it shows a message saying that, "in order to bridge the connections i need at least 2 LAN or high speed internet connections." HELP!!

this might be the problem. If you have enabled connection sharing you need to turn that off before bridging. To do that you need to get to the place that shows all your connections (0:27) and right click on wireless connection. Then go to properties and go to the advanced tab. Then you will need to uncheck the boxes.
