  • Huh audi a6 or equus very difficult choice considering the equus only comes in two trim levels, Loaded and even more loaded and the loaded trim model is only $58,000

  • @Phill0046 Well a Fully equipped Ford Mustang can cost that....yeah its full of cheap shit plastic...if there are people paying 50k for a fucking Government motor or Ford....why not paying 50k for a ultra lux Hyundai???

  • Honda and Toyota started with the same reputation that Hyundai started with. Now Toyota is #1 in sales, and both nameplates are considered top in quality. Hyundai announced that they will add a nameplate for their luxury brand. Based on looking at the Equus, they will be a strong competitor.

  • @hiloboynokaoi Well apparently nowadays many Americans and people from other parts of the world prefer to ride a Sonata rather than a Fusion, Malibu, Maxima, Corolla....go figure why. Crappy things from Detroit...no thanks.

  • @Phill0046 Well a vulgar shitty Mustang GT fully loaded can cost easily 50,000....yeah 50,000 for a F@#%@ Ford.

exactly! that's the reason why cars like equus will work in the US... because 90% of the people in the US couldn't careless about that 10% that makes german cars special.. equus minus 10% -20%for the prestige factor and 10% for how the car handles at highspeeds and at hard corners.. arriving at 70-80% of the geman rivals price seems about right... don't you?

  • @valkyrieXX Well since most of our highways are long straight boring roads. We really dont need the german stuff that packs piles of expensive crap that 90% of the people who buy them will never use. But I like to take the MB to the track so Im one of the 10%. But most of the people who buy them here, are 80 year old retired people who care about the early bird special more than 0-60 or g force in a corner.

  • @Rlnthndr

that's the redline but at what rpm does the power and the torque peak? the redline is completely irrelevant on the american V8s...

lincoln? hyundai that you are bashing has already built a car that rival the E-class... it's called Genesis sedan...

    please get with the times...

and looking at ford's (i.e. jaguar) track record, somehow I am not convinced that they can build a luxury RWD sedan that could rival german sedans..

  • @valkyrieXX na. Mustang redlines at 8k rpm. And Lincoln is building cars to rival the e-class. I mean I love it. But I still love american muscle cars and our big trucks that can pull 20,000 pounds.

  • @Rlnthndr

7500rpm on american V8... you gotta be kidding me...

Frankly, I don't know why anyone who's climbed up the ladder into German cars would ever go back to American... I have C350 now and owned 330i previously BTW...

having driven the new C63 and E63... I realized that the Americans can no longer claim king of the hill... the teuton's have beaten the american's at their own game...
